Norfab applies substantial focus to the structural steel and metalwork component of our company. We cover all the structural steel and metalwork construction processes from estimating and drafting to fabrication and erection.
Since relocating to our larger workshop in 2008, we have been continually upgrading and investing in plant and equipment, allowing us to take on more complex and major projects. Our heavy workshop plant and equipment now includes 2 x 5t overhead cranes, forklifts and advanced cutting, bending and assembling equipment. We also have site erecting equipment including a 20t Rough Terrain Mobile Crane, and our strong relationship with local hire companies enables us to acquire additional mobile equipment when required. With our equipment and trained staff, we have the capabilities to complete any project from domestic housing steel, to major projects incorporating complex structural steel.
We are code compliant for the construction industry, enabling us to be heavily involved in Federal, State and Local Government projects in the North Queensland region. In the past these projects have included upgrading infrastructure for medical, educational, training and defence facilities and also public housing.
Our trained and certified employees, including in-house estimators and draftspersons, possess the skills and knowledge to undertake the design, fabrication and erection processes with ease. Our efficient on site employees ensure time and budget guidelines of projects are reached allowing us to achieve every objective without compromising safety requirements.
